AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL   October 8, 2p, Stafford Centre

FBSO’s 26th season, “With Liberty and Justice for All”, focuses on the richness of the American experience.  In the opening concert, “America the Beautiful”, you’ll hear works from American composers of many different backgrounds, including Jesse Ayer’s “Stirrin”, an inspiring new arrangement of spirituals for orchestra and chorus.  Favorites from Copland, Bernstein and Stravinsky are combined with new works such as Tan Dun’s “Internet Symphony” that was commissioned for Google.  The FBSO Chorus is an integral part of this entertaining performance that celebrates America, Americans and the rich diversity of our land.
