Back to All Events
A journey through storytelling in music, unfolding one layer at a time. Rimsky-Korsakov's vibrant Capriccio espagnole opens with dazzling color and orchestral virtuosity, Khachaturian's Adagio from Spartacus offers a moment of aching, romantic stillness, and then HMTA 2026 winners Andrew Lau and George Robinson take the stage — Lau performing the first movement of Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, and Robinson the third movement of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3. Prokofiev's Suite from Romeo and Juliet brings the evening to its dramatic, tragic close. Four composers, three eras, one unbroken thread of narrative power.
